Although we try to duplicate the original as closely as possible there may be slight variations which give each piece its own character. The character of the boards may differ in nail holes, knot holes, gouges, nicks, color and chips as well as how the wood takes the finishes. This all makes your personal piece not only custom but original as there will be no other piece identical yours. I highly recommend you seal wood before using finished piece.
