Chiragra spider conchs are thick with six skinny legs extending outward. The female's aperture is pale pink and the two shoulder "legs" are larger than the others. The male's "legs" are all about the same, but the aperture is more brightly colored. Chiragra spider conchs are common from the Eastern Indian Ocean to Polynesia. They are usually found in shallow waters.
